Introduction to Venice: St. Mark's Square & the Doge's Palace
Duration: 2 hours
The visit starts in the magnificent St. Mark's Square with an introduction of the history and origins of 'La Serenissima' . Learn about illustrious Venetians like Marco Polo, Tintoretto and Titian, how Venice became a great mercantile empire and learn about every day's life in the most unique city in the World.
This spacious Square features the beautiful buildings of Procuratie Vecchie and Procuratie Nuove, the Clock Tower, the Marciana Library and Correr Museum; the Campanile di San Marco (The Tower) which collapsed in 1902 and was rebuilt as the original of 1514. Visit Saint Mark's Basilica, symbol of the Serenissima's power and wealth, covered with amazing gold mosaics. Built in Byzantine style in 1063, the basilica houses the relics of the patron saint, St. Mark the Evangelist. The tour will end at the Doge's Palace, home and seat of government for the rulers of Venice up to the fall of the Venetian Republic in 1797. Inside, the Portico and the elegant Loggias are a magnificent example of Venetian Gothic.

From Gothic to Renaissance

Explore Venice 's architectural development between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century. The highlights of this pleasant architectural walk include S. Zaccaria, Santi Giovanni e Paolo, the Colleoni Monument and Santa Maria dei Miracoli.

500 years of Venetian Art
Duration: 4 hours
Visit the world famous Accademia, featuring Venetian paintings from the 14th to 18th centuries, including masterpieces by Bellini, Giorgione, Carpaccio, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese and Tiepolo.

Palladio’s Venice
Duration: 4 hours
Walk in the footsteps of Goethe and see the major works of Andrea Palladio: St. Giorgio Maggiore, the monastery island facing St. Marks Square and the majestic Church of the Redentore on the Island of Giudecca.

Dorsoduro
Duration: 4 hours
Lined with open air cafes, Dorsoduro keeps an original and typical flavor. Visit the former fishing village of San Nicolo dei Mendicoli, with stops at the Church of San Sebastiano, entirely decorated in frescoes and paintings by Veronese ending along the sunny promenade Giudecca Canal.

Gondola ride
Duration: 40 minutes
The magic of Venice reveals itself as you glide down the Gran Canal and through the minor canals. Feel the atmosphere and get captured by the elegance of its monuments.

Gondola Serenade
Duration: 40 minutes
Enjoy the view of this magic city at night as you slowly slide through the Gran Canal and tour the fascinating minor canals with their tiny bridges. One of the gondoliers will play music and sing throughout this ride, that we promise, will provide you with memories that last a lifetime.

The lagoon islands: Murano, Burano and Torcello
Duration: 4 hours
During a guided visit to the island of Murano you will experience the wonder of glass making art. The island famous to be the center of the Venetian glass industry, was transferred here from Venice in 1291 as a precaution against fire.
Visit a glass blowing factory and watch the artisans at work. Admire one of the largest collections of Venetian glass in the world at the Museo Vetrario housed in the 17th century Palazzo Giustiniani.
Proceed to the fishing Island of Burano, famous for its colorful buildings and its lace works. Enjoy the special atmosphere of this island with its painted houses in shades of lemon, lilac, and tangerine. The guide will give you a tour of the island and explain the local lace making technique called "a tombolo".
A few minutes by boat from Burano is Torcello, the smallest of the three Islands. During the Tenth century, it was a big centre with 40.000 habitants and the richest and most powerful island of the lagoon. Here you can admire spectacular ancient monuments including the cathedral of Santa Maria dell'Assunta, with its impressive Byzantine mosaics.

Murano Glass Tour
Duration: 4 hours
For over 800 years, the island of Murano has been renowned for its art of glassmaking, from chandeliers to tableware to jewelry. Many glass artists still live and work on the island and this tour will include a visit to their workshops.

The Jewish Ghetto
Duration: 2 hours
Discover the charming residential district of Cannaregio, home to the Jewish Ghetto and some of Venice's most beautiful buildings.
Walk through a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys to the Jewish Ghetto, where the Jewish community lived for centuries. During the Renaissance, the Ghetto had intense cultural life and five Synagogues to serve the communities who settled in the city. During the tour you will see magnificent Palaces and Churches, including the homes of famous Venetian painters Tintoretto and Titian.

Guided visit of the Jewish Cemetery

Transfer by water bus to the island of Lido for a private visit of Venice's two Jewish cemeteries. The older was founded approximately in 1380 and contains numerous carved tombstones. The newer Jewish cemetery, still in use, contains a fascinating collection of historic tombstones and 19th and 20th century mausoleum.

Special Events

Venice carnival
Carnival in Venice is a boisterous time of merrymaking and elaborate masks and costumes. It takes place in February, finishing on Shrove Tuesday.
